Who knew I had a Green Thumb?!?

26. Grow a little garden.
Last summer I grew a bunch of Snow Peas and I had fun growing them, so this year I have quadrupled my garden! I started cucumbers, sweet peppers, lettuce, cabbage, romaine lettuce, sunflowers, basil, cilantro, chives and many more need planted. I bought a little green house to start them in, and once I am convinced that it wont freeze I will plant them outside!

Done and I feel great about it!

20. Finnish my associates degree in accounting.
I'm done, not sure if I will continue my education further at this time, I will see how things go. Just glad the weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

This is NOT going to make me RICH!

18. Learn to use a metal detector and actually find something.
I rented a metal detector in Hawaii and took it and my high hopes of striking it rich to the beach! Kamaole Beach Park III was going to make mama some big bucks. A million beer caps and $0.27 later, I was still having a good time! So my Hubby got me a Metal Detector for my birthday and I have found in 3 outings a total of $0.28 and a Ferrari. Okay, Okay the Ferrari was a matchbox car, but over 5 inched down in a sandbox at a local park and I got it! I have started geocaching and I may use the metal detector on those impossible caches!

Take Joe to Moose Camp

#16. My father has been going to the same area for moose hunting since the 1970's. Its a great area with little traffic. I started hunting there with my father and his friends about 2001 or 2002. I just love the area, I won't tell where it is, but its great! I look forward to it every year. The mountains and the cool crisp clean air are amazing. I love that it gets really cold at night, usually freezing, I like sitting out by the fire and shooting the shit then crawling into my tent into my nice warm sleeping bag. I'm not a morning person, so they don't bother me in the morning and I sleep an hour or so past everyone. My husband is a big hunter and I wanted to take him there, so I talked my mother in law into watching our 1 year old and off we went. We had a great time, I can't wait to go back!

Moosey moose

#6. Kill a Moose. After all the years of hunting and helping dress out moose, I finally shot one on my own. I got drawn for a cow tag near my home. For days my husband and I rode our wheelers from the house down the ATV trails in search of a cow. I shot the cow with a .300 ultra mag. it was the quickest and easiest hunt ever, I shot her about a mile from the house! And they say it aint easy! we cut her in half and rolled her in the pack rat trailer and rode home. we used the Engine hoist to hang her. it was less than three hours from the time I saw her to when we had her all skinned and cut up!

Joe's Familys Smoked Salmon

#4. Make Joe's smoked salmon.
I learned how to make this in July 2010. This was a fun process, we cleaned the salmon and cut it into strips of meat and soak it in the family's secret recipe then it goes in a smoker, once its smoked we start canning it. The smoked salmom is not dry or over oily, just perfect!
